Different short haircuts

We've known Taraji P. Henson to rock all kinds of different hair looks. From a blonde bob to whatever '80s goodness this is, the actress always wears an array of styles, but the latest one she showed off on Instagram this Friday has to be one of our personal favorites.

The Empire star posted a shot of herself sitting in a car with a brand new short hairstyle that we are absolutely loving for the summer. Henson's hair is shaved down close to her head on the sides, but thanks to a little length kept on top, the actress's curls are left to flourish. In the image, Henson's curls are defined, adding a cute contrast to the shaved part of her 'do.

"It's been a minute. She's been busy AF!!!" Henson captioned the image. She wore oversized embellished sunglasses, tassel earrings, and a delicate necklace to finish off her look.

Of course, Taraji's fans were really feeling her new hairstyle. "Love the hair the look is bangin!!" one person quipped. "Damnnn slay that hair, slay the glasses, SLAY DA HOLE DAMN WORLD, " another person offered. "Love the natural look!" yet another said.

It seems everyone is chopping off their locks this summer, as we've been seeing lots of celebrities go for either completely shaved heads (like Cara Delevingne) or super short pixie cute (like Katy Perry). Taraji's added texture just takes her look to the next level for us, and has us wondering if she'll keep this chop for long, or if she'll opt to grow out those curls and coils into a voluminous mane. Only time will tell. But for now, we've got to give it up for Taraji, because we are absolutely in love with her new look, and can't wait to see how she styles this latest hair on the red carpet and beyond.
